Matawan, NJ -- (SBWire) -- 06/10/2015 --The Pilgreens comprises of three student friends aged from 23 to 27 that met during their Master years in Toulouse. Together, they have decided to undertake a journey from Bangkok to Toulouse in a customized electric TukTuk. Their mission behind this project is to promote the use of a cleaner source of energy. The name 'The Pilgreens' refers to the 'Pilgrim fathers' and the color 'green.' The Pilgreens project will cover twenty thousand kilometers in one hundred and twenty days, covering sixteen countries. Their departure has been planned for July.

In spite of its high potential, electric mobility has not seen adequate application in the present day scenario. Ludwig, Karen, and Rémy are looking to build awareness about the hot topic by filming their great journey and turning it into an epic travel documentary. The team has been working on their travel project for the past few months. Being manufactured currently in Thailand, their electric TukTuk will be ready by the end of June.

The Pilgreens project team has just started a Kickstarter campaign to get the adequate filming equipment required to produce a high-quality travel documentary. Some TV channels have already agreed to broadcast the full-length movie. This project will only be funded if at least $2,500 is pledged by July 2, 2015.
