Octane Announce Release of New Fuel Management System: Sapphire Lite

Commercial fuel management and environmental services company Octane Holding Group Ltd recently announced the launch of their latest fuel management system: Sapphire Lite; which was designed to provide a cost-effective solution for smaller haulage firms.

Bradford, West Yorkshire -- (SBWire) -- 06/17/2015 --Octane's latest fuel management system, the Sapphire Lite, offers a range of new features and is custom-designed for smaller haulage companies who want a cost-effective way of managing their fuel.

Catering for Smaller Companies

Octane's other fuel management systems, the Sapphire and the Sapphire+, are designed to meet the requirements of larger-scale enterprises. However, the company swiftly realised that many smaller haulage companies required a system that enabled accurate fuel management, but didn't have the budget available to invest in a more comprehensive system.

Richard Sykes, Director at Octane Holding Group Ltd commented: "We were getting a significant number of enquiries about our fuel management systems and a number of clients felt that our existing systems had features that they simply didn't require. This is why we got to work with the manufacturer, MCS Card Systems in developing an entry-level fuel management system that was better suited to their specific needs."

Sapphire Lite's Range of Features

The Sapphire Lite fuel management system has a range of innovative features, designed to help haulage companies to control, secure and monitor fuel usage. The easy-install facility allows the equipment to be installed within days, and sometimes even hours of ordering.

The terminal uses contactless technology to enable companies to monitor and control fuelling more effectively, making it possible to literally track every litre. It also features a stock reporting function via the secure MCS Connect website.

This website is a simple-to-use business tool, which allows users to access reports, reconcile stock and back-up information. The back-up memory has capacity to store over 4000 transactions and no communications are required to the terminal.

Richard Sykes adds: 'We've worked closely with our partners, MCS Card Systems on many successful projects in the last 5 years. We're now able to offer the latest Fuel Management terminal to the market and we're delighted to say that it's the only entry-level Fuel Management system on the market place offering 1 & 2 pump options, with centralised reporting and unlimited users.'

Cost-Effective Solution

Sapphire Lite is an entry-level system, but has all the functionality and features that a smaller or start-up haulage company is likely to require. For larger companies, or enterprises experiencing growth, it's easy to upgrade to the Sapphire or Sapphire+ system, as and when required.

According to figures so far, response to Sapphire Lite fuel management system has been extremely positive; with steady sales even in the early stages of its launch.

"I think it's clear to see," Richard concludes, "that smaller companies actively do not want a more comprehensive system that's going to cost them a lot more. They're seeking a simple, straightforward system that delivers what they need, at a cost that suits them. And this is what the Sapphire Lite aims to achieve.'
