Doggie Central Celebrates 10 Years in the Pet Care Industry with the Introduction of Dog Boarding Services

Mississauga, ON -- (SBWire) -- 07/16/2015 --Modern pet owners consider their dogs to be one of the family, but what's to be done when a canine can't come along on the family vacation? Private pet sitters and chain pet hotels provide some options, but these choices can leave dogs in a strange environment or being cared for by strangers. Now dogs in Mississauga and Etobicoke can "stay where they play", as long-time dog daycare and dog training provider Doggie Central expands their services to include overnight dog boarding at their Lenworth Drive facility beginning the weekend of July 24th.

Husband-and-wife team Jeff and Lesley Rooney opened Doggie Central in 2005 to offer a safe Dog Centre for dogs to play and socialize off-leash, with a second location expanding services to the Port Credit area in 2008. Now in 2015, renovations to the original location have created a "sleeping pod," a separate room offering space for up to a dozen dogs to spend the night.

Overnight guests will spend their day playing and socializing in the daycare area, and then spend a relaxing evening together moving between the play area and the sleeping pod before finally settling in for the night. An outdoor relief area provides a space for bathroom visits, while separate stalls allow dogs to enjoy meals in peace. With caring and experienced staff members supervising the dogs at all times 24/7, owners can be confident leaving their dogs in a familiar place with people who know them as the wonderful individuals they are.

"Client's have been "begging" us no pun intended for overnight boarding over the years and after 10 years in business we decided it was the right time. We are approaching this service as we do with any service we implement "what do we want for our dog?" so we created the "sleeping dog pod". Unlike some other facilities we wanted to create a space where it feels like home. Dogs will have the option to sleep on beds, sleeping crates or pillows whichever they feel more comfortable. Having a trained Dog Assistant throughout the night will offer them comfort and our client's peace of mind that their dog is being cared for at all times." says Lesley Rooney.
