New York, NY -- (SBWire) -- 07/22/2015 --The Mice War is an animated film that explores the issues surrounding war and helps children understand the problems associated with fighting as well as how to avoid them. This children's comedy musical was composed by three-time Grammy nominee David Chesky.  Now, the creator has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds.

In the film, two different kinds of mice wage war over what color cheese should be. The show has been produced around the world in stage theaters and is now ready to move into animated production. According to Chesky, "I am hoping to reach a broader audience by producing it as an animated movie. The film aims to instill in children the absurdity of war, the senselessness of fighting and the message that our differences as well as our similarities can be embraced and celebrated."

Now, the production is poised to become an international hit once more as the creator takes it from stage to film in 3D animation.

The funds raised by Kickstarter will be used first to pay for artist designs, a story reel, 3D models and 3D shading. Next will come 3D rigging, 3D layout, 3D animation, 3D lighting, 3D rendering and finally 3D VFX. Pledge levels are available from $5 to $10,000, and prizes range from autographed posters to hats and film credits as well as private screenings and concerts.
