Oklahoma City, OK -- (SBWire) -- 09/09/2015 --Metro Tech is hosting the Wellness Conference in OKC, which is being combined with the 14th annual Oklahoma City Holistic Health Fair from September 29th-30th at the Metro Tech Business Conference Center.

The topic of this free conference is "An Holistic Approach to Wellness." There will be a total of four popular speakers who spoke at Holistic Health Fairs in the past giving 16 individual presentations and eight interactive workshops for the benefits of students. There will also be a Labyrinth Blood Pressure Study conducted so that students can learn about the meditative aspects of walking a labyrinth.

A number of art therapy and mandala coloring sessions will also be held at this event for the first time—from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day for the length of the event. Gail Peck, who is the Director of Creation for EarthWind Holistic Center, stated that the decision was made to combine the traditional annual Holistic Health Fair with a Wellness Conference, which offers a wealth of information for the benefit of health-conscious business owners as well as students, employees, caregivers, seniors, and anyone else who has an interest in improving their health and well-being.

The event's primary purpose is to showcase several facts of holistic and alternative medicine as well as to spread knowledge and awareness to the public on a variety of complimentary therapies as well as modalities of the mind, body, and spirit.

Peck also stated that holistic health is all about stressing the importance of treating the body as a whole from a spiritual and mental perspective. There will be a number of different presentations and interactive workshops available to those who attend this event, going from 10 a.m. to no one and 2 to 4 p.m. each day.

Some of the different exhibitors that will be at the event in prominent roles include naturopaths, master herbalists, healthcare providers, holistic practitioners, and homeopaths. There will also be a variety of wellness products and services along with educational information made available to everyone who attends this event.

Those who are interested in learning more about holistic/alternative medicine are encouraged to attend, as there will be a number of holistic specialists there. This event will kick off with a seminar entitled "What is Holistic Health?" by Dr. Nathan Schacter from the All-Health Holistic Clinic and will conclude with an interactive session called "The Importance of Gratitude."
