Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL Team Add Jones Brothers

The Missouri Mavericks, Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team, have signed the twin brothers Kellen and Connor Jones in preparation for the opening of the 2015-16 season opening.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWire) -- 09/29/2015 --The Missouri Mavericks, owned by Lamar Hunt Jr., have added two more players to their roster ahead of the 2015-16 ECHL season opening. Twin bothers, Kellen Jones and Connor Jones, both play forward positions on the ice and will begin playing for the Mavericks next month.

Playing two seasons with the Oklahoma City Barons American Hockey League team, Kellen and Connor Jones have experience playing in a higher league than the ECHL. The twins will be transferring from the Bakersfield Condors ECHL team after one season of play. In their last season, Connor and Kellen played competitively and both scored 27 game points a piece for the Bakersfield Condors.

The two 25 year old forwards will play for the Missouri Mavericks in their upcoming season, which begins after the early October Training Camp. The training camp will conclude with the annual Black-Orange Intra-Squad Scrimmage event, which will be held on October 8th this year at the Independence Events Center.
