Miami Beach, FL -- (SBWire) -- 10/01/2015 --Matrix Renovations, specializing in restaurant and hotel remodeling and renovation is pleased to announce that New York-based development firm The Chetrit Group is working on turning Miami Beach's Collins Park into a hotel.

Collins Park is a series of seven mostly abandoned and damaged Miami Beach buildings built between 1938 and 1953 near the Miami Beach Convention Center. The Chetrit Group initially received a loan to begin work on Collins Park in 2012 but plans are finally underway towards its development. The new Collins Park Hotel is being designed by the architectural firm of Kobi Karp and is expected to have 300 rooms. It will be part of a restored complex that is also set to include infill additions but will maintain the Art Deco design of the Collins Park buildings.
