Infection Control Today Publishes Survey Results Concerning Environmental Hygiene

Minneapolis, MN -- (SBWire) -- 10/28/2015 --Infection Control Today recently published the results of their survey on hospital leaders' and infection preventionists' concerns about barriers to environmental hygiene. Interestingly, the survey revealed that hospital leaders and infection preventionists (IPs) feel similarly about a wide array of concerns, from the overall environmental hygiene of their institution to whether they think their hospitals were making progress at improving environmental hygiene. Many of the results were promising, with over 70% of hospital leaders and IPs characterizing their overall environmental hygiene as good or better, while 85% of C-suite respondents and 95% of IPs felt their hospitals were improving their environmental hygiene.

It is of concern, however, that 61% of IPs and 55% of C-suite respondents said their facility's environmental service department does not receive adequate funding. Which is at odds with 99% of C-suite respondents and 100% IPs feeling confident that proper environmental cleaning and disinfection make a difference in the prevention of infections. As the premier provider of medical laundry services in the county, ImageFIRST Minneapolis shares these concerns and opinions as they firmly believe that their work holds significant importance in addressing risks of infection for patients and staff alike.

That's why ImageFIRST Minneapolis has developed services that efficiently address disinfection and reducing the risk of infections in a cost-effective way. For example, they have the "5-point product quality system" that sets the standard for providing client facilities with quality products, the highest sanitizing standards, independent laboratory testing of their cleaning processes, a bright white standard for linen, and individually-wrapped patient gowns. For the best sanitation, they have developed the Triple BioShield Protection® system, which consists of a wash process that abides by the highest sanitizing standards, an additional protective coating for all products, and a plastic barrier to ensure all items are delivered to the customer facility in a way that exceeds regulatory standards.

Anyone interested in the outstanding quality of the services ImageFIRST Minneapolis provides for their clientele is welcome to contact them for more information, either by visiting the company website or by calling 800-932-7472.
