Sedation-Dentistry: Safe-and-Effective. If the child needs specialized dental-treatment, sedation-dentistry may be beneficial. Different kinds of sedation-dentistry are available to accommodate the specific needs. All options are comfortable and will help the child be calm and relaxed. Types of sedation dentistry offered:

Laughing Gas (nitrous oxide), I.V. Sedation, Conscious Sedation (oral sedation) and General Sedation (standard numbing). In addition to providing comfort, sedation dentistry calms fear. The child won't be as afraid to come to the dentist if they experience less pain. The skilled staff will work with the parent to determine which type of sedation is best for their child.

The need for emergent-care can often be avoided with safe-practices during sporting events. They are happy to teach the parent and children a number of things they can do to help them protect their teeth and gums. Regular cleaning and maintenance services will help prevent tooth decay which can cause damage and painful infection. Wearing a mouth guard during sporting events is one way to protect those important teeth and ensure they stay put while playing your favorite game. With both of these preventive measures effectively in place, they can help the child avoid emergent trips to the dentist.
