Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Missouri Mavericks Beat Quad City Mallards

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Missouri Mavericks won 5-2 against the Quad City Mallards on Tuesday October 27 at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWire) -- 10/30/2015 --The Missouri Mavericks, owned by Lamar Hunt Jr., won their fifth game in a row on Tuesday October 27th playing against the Quad City Mallards at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, MO. The Mavericks defeated the Mallards 5-2, the highest scoring game for the Mavericks so far in their 2015-16 season.

The Mallards and Mavericks went scoreless throughout the first period of their game with many goal attempts from both teams. During the second period the Mavericks scored three goals before the Mallards scored one goal thanks to Tanner Eberle, Mike Monfredo and Zach Pochiro. The Mavericks went on to score two additional goals and the Mallards added one more goal in the third period. The Mavericks won 5-2 with help from goalie Parker Milner who recently returned from his AHL call-up.

The October 27th game was the first meeting of the Mavericks and Mallards teams in the 2015-16 season. The Mavericks face the Mallards again on November 4th on the Mallards home ice in Moline, IL at the iWireless Center.
