Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL Team Lose in Overtime Shootout

The Lamar Hunt Jr. owned Missouri Mavericks lost 4-3 against the Tulsa Oilers in an overtime shootout.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWire) -- 11/02/2015 --Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team, the Missouri Mavericks, lost to the Tulsa Oilers on October 30 at an away game in Tulsa, OK. The Mavericks had won five consecutive games prior to the October 30 loss at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK. The loss came to the Mavericks in the shootout after a full 60 minutes of regulation play and five minutes of overtime.

The game was led by the Oilers with two goals scored against the Mavericks early in the first period of regulation play. The Mavericks came back to tie up the game 2-2 followed by both teams scoring one additional goal apiece to tie up the game by the end of regulation play in the third period.

The Tulsa Oilers were led to victory by the sudden death shootout goal from Brandon Wong which defeated the Mavericks goalie Josh Robinson.

Josh Robinson was the Mavericks Goal tender for the night and saved 24 goals throughout three regulation periods and the additional overtime period before the shootout. Robinson has recorded more wins than losses this season playing for the Mavericks.
