Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Mavericks Lose Close Game Against Americans

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team the Missouri Mavericks lost to the Allen Americans in the last away game of October.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWire) -- 11/02/2015 --Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Missouri Mavericks have lost a second consecutive away game. The Mavericks lost 2-1 on October 31st in an away game played against the Allen Americans. On October 30th the Mavericks lost in overtime to the Tulsa Oilers, the loss to the Allen Americans was their first regulation loss of the season since they began playing in Anchorage.

The Allen Americans scored two goals against the Missouri Mavericks before the Mavericks could get any points on the board. The Mavericks answered the Americans with one goal late in the third period of the game and could not tie the game before the end of the final period. Tyler Barnes scored the only goal for the Mavericks during regulation with an empty net, assisted by Mavericks players Jesse Root and Rocco Carzo. Barnes currently leads the Mavericks in points scored.

Parker Milner was the goalie for the Mavericks during the game and managed to save 26 of the 28 shots on goal by the Americans. The Americans goalie Joel Rumpel allowed no goals while he was on the ice.
