WIN Foundation Looks to Continue Making a Brighter Future for Children

Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWire) -- 11/09/2015 --The When in Need (WIN) Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to help provide a better future for children around the globe. In the past month, their work has impacted the lives of children in several different countries all over the world.

The WIN foundation is taking on the issue of education on all its fronts to help underprivileged children realize a better future. For children, the WIN Foundation is turning its attention to preventative health and education in places like Africa, The Caribbean and here in the United States. For the rest of the world, the WIN foundation is rallying support and attention for children's issues with several events and fundraisers.

Sunday, October 18, 2015, was the WIN Foundation's Day of Humanitarian Action. Three cities in the United States (New York, Philadelphia and Chester) and four in Nigeria ( Lagos, Abuja, Owerri and Enugu) participated in the program, which set its sights on helping children who are underprivileged, needy and lack the resources to have a comfortable life and The children were entertained with clowns, food, music and face-painting.

Among WIN's other recent initiatives to improve the lives of children globally was their Restoring Hope: Unlocking Potential Globally gala. The event was held on September 24, 2015, at Antun's Banquet Hall in Queens Village, NY. The gala was dedicated to supporting various children's charities and honoring the contributions of several individuals who had contributed significantly to their communities locally and globally with Global Changer Awards.

On Oct 22, When In Need Foundation joined State Senator James Sanders Jr. (NY) and his team for an Educational Scholarship Presentation to Veshno Kumar and a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner for those who continue to positively impact their community at Compasse Cafe in Jamaica NY. Ms Chetachi Ecton, Founder and President of When In Need Foundation presented Veshno with the $1,000 scholarship and stressed WiN's commitment to building the global leaders of tomorrow through education.

The Recipient, Veshno Kumar, age 17, of South Ozone Park is a student at Brooklyn Technical High School, where she maintains a 95 percent average. She demonstrated exemplary leadership and professionalism that is far beyond her years leading and managing interns and assigning them tasks.

When In Need Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization that seeks to assist people in disadvantaged communities globally on various initiatives.
