Oklahoma City, OK -- (SBWire) -- 11/12/2015 --Oklahoma Heart Hospital is currently looking to hire a sonographer for their Vein Clinic. This job comes with an immediate $5,000 sign on bonus and it is a full-time position. The person who is hired for this position needs to be able to perform all necessary tasks, including quality echocardiograms as well as vascular studies and stress echoes.

The sonographer will also be responsible for reporting interpretations of tests to physicians once they have been completed. Although there is general supervision, the sonographer must work well independently, referring unusual situations or cases to a physician or supervisor.

An education requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as documentation from an accredited ultrasound program. With regards to credentials, a current ARDMS or CCI is required. The person who takes this position must pass registry within a period of not more than one year from when they are hired, as well as a BLS certification. Experience of at least one year as an ultrasound technologist is strongly preferred for this position, as well as experience in cardiology.
