Oklahoma City, OK -- (SBWire) -- 11/12/2015 --Metro Technology Centers recently won the Leadership in Excellence Award for 2015, which is considered to be the most prestigious award for performance excellence given by the Oklahoma Quality Foundation.

One of the things that makes this award so special is that Metro Tech was the very first CareerTech center in the state of Oklahoma to receive the award in 2010 and has been the only two time winner since then. This award is the highest-level quality award for businesses as well as organizations in Oklahoma given by the OQF.

Superintendant Dr. Elaine Stith of Metro Tech expressed her immense gratitude for receiving this award on behalf of the school. The Oklahoma Quality Foundation stated that it was Metro Tech's consistent dedication to overall excellence that benefits its students, adults, and employers, and it is also what earned them the award on two different occasions.

OQF states that over two-thirds of the students at Metro Tech are classified as being "at risk," making their mission to adequately prepare students for successful employment later on in life that much more crucial.

The OQF also stated that Metro Tech delivers on the promise they make to their students with one of the highest completion rates in the entire Oklahoma CareerTech system. This school is also known for its numerous and consistent innovative solutions that cater to the socio-economic needs of their students that might otherwise have an adverse effect on their education.

The MetroQuest improvement culture is supported by a number of highly devoted employees that number more than 300. Each of the employees at Metro Tech is completely dedicated to furthering the education of their students in the most effective way possible.

Metro Tech is a technology school in Oklahoma that offers free tuition for Oklahoma City Public Schools as well as Milwood Public Schools and Crooked Oak Public Schools students. The consistently high achievements of the student body as well as the sheer dedication of the faculty are just two of the things that earned this school the Leadership in Excellence Award this year.

Metro Tech provides full-time career majors for high school and adult students. High school students receive credit toward high school graduation.
