Oklahoma City, OK -- (SBWire) -- 11/12/2015 --The Metro Tech Foundation earned just over $14,000 from its very first golf tournament, which was hosted at the Lincoln Park Golf Club. This tournament featured 17 different teams, 5 sponsors, 13 hole sponsors, and a number of different prize and swag bag sponsors.

The Metro Tech Culinary Arts students were at this event to showcase their fruit art training and offer a buffet-style lunch for those who were golfing in the tournament. The Metro Tech Foundation expressed its gratitude for all of the sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who participated in the event to make it a huge success.

Metro Tech is a technology school located in Oklahoma City for high school and adult students, offering a number of different programs to choose from. The school offers a great number of courses for students of all ages, including accounting, culinary arts, dental assistant, HVAC, medical, horticulture, and much more.

It is Metro Tech's mission to prepare people for successful employment and life in a global society. There are short-term and career majors for high school and adult students who wish to further their education.

The primary three goals that Metro Tech has for its students is to achieve a high school diploma, complete career training, and prepare for college. The wide variety of courses that this Oklahoma school offers are designed to teach students the things they need to know so as to improve their chances of succeeding in their future jobs as well as in college.

Metro Tech caters to at-risk students by providing a parent resource center, which is a family-focused program that enables parents and family members to become more involved in their children's education.

Statistics show that an overwhelming majority of Metro Tech students graduate with a diploma, which is certainly not the case with most public schools across the country. MCA takes an innovative approach to teaching their students, implementing one-on-one instruction with caring teachers as well as individualized learning plans that increase students' chances of success.

Because of the recent fundraising through the golf tournament, Metro Tech is able to continue providing exceptional education for the community. High school and adult students all benefit from the generous donations and funds from sponsors in the community. Together, the Oklahoma City community is building a stronger workforce with Metro Tech's higher education programs.
