Lorain, OH -- (SBWire) -- 11/18/2015 --Absolute Machine Tools, Inc., has teamed up with ServiceMax, the leading field service software solution provider, to improve upon its ISO-certified Preventative Maintenance Program by offering customers answers to their service-related questions at any time. The ServiceMax cloud-based solution allows engineers and technicians access to a facility's plant maintenance plan at all times via an iPad or Windows-based PC app, providing real time service and solutions to machinery breakdowns and other related problems.

Absolute Machine's mission is to help machine shops and manufacturing facilities improve their production processes to be more competitive in a tough global environment. Its preventative maintenance plans help customers prevent unplanned breakdowns by evaluating machinery, recommending repairs, and performing machine maintenance at regularly scheduled intervals. Breakdowns due to wear or neglect can be eliminated 100 percent of the time with the correct PMP in place. ServiceMax software allows technicians and facility managers to manage the entire work process – from work order to recalls to service. It applies preset data collection functions and applies usable metrics to track how many applications have been run on a given machine, and part replacement patterns, and previous service, providing technicians with a means to quickly determine what a problem may be without a site visit. When a site visit is necessary, the technician can specify proper parts from an inventory that is reflected on the screen and is maintained according to the facility's replacement and repair record.

Cost savings is significant in that paperwork is reduced and repeat service visits due to part inventory shortage are eliminated.
