Oklahoma Heart Hospital Is Searching for Registered Nurses for Cath Lab

Oklahoma City, OK -- (SBWire) -- 12/11/2015 --Oklahoma Heart Hospital is currently looking for registered nurses for their Cath Lab. All applicants must be able to demonstrate the appropriate level of knowledge and adhere to all federal and state regulations. Nurses at this hospital must also be able to monitor, scrub, and/or circulate on all Cath Lab procedures, including Electro physiology, AICD, and Pacemaker insertions. Those who take this position also must be able to properly operate all equipment efficiently in the Cath Lab department.

Some of equipment requirements for this position include hemodynamic monitoring, blood analysis, cine projector, intra-aortic balloon pump, injectors, cautery, electro physiology and ablation equipment, pacemaker, defibrillator, and all other equipment that is used in the Cath Lab.

Nurses in this department of the hospital are also responsible for trouble shooting and assessing equipment problems and providing a backup plan when one is needed. These nurses also ensure that all supplies are available at a moment's notice for each patient. The shift for this position is from 9:30-20:00.

All applicants must have graduated from an accredited nursing program as well as posses current state licensure and ACLS within 18 months of hire as well as a current BLS certification. A CCRN is preferred for this position. A minimum of 1 year of continuous cath lab experience and/or previous critical care is preferred. This position is full time and all applicants must meet the previously mentioned requirements.
