Lanham, MD -- (SBWire) -- 12/23/2015 --This past Thursday, December 17th, 2015, Chesapeake Home Health Care (CHHC-MD) held its annual Christmas Banquet to recognize outstanding staff and celebrate loyal clients. The banquet took place at La Fontaine Bleue in Lanham, Maryland. The team went all out to celebrate both their staff and their clients. With over 100 people in attendance, including ten representatives from Prince Georges County Public Schools, the event was a successful tribute to quality care and genuine support.

Dawn Cole, CHHC-MD's Director of Nursing, was presented with an award for her five years of service.

The staff was recognized with the following awards:

The Dream Team - Six nurses that exemplify quality care in the patient care delivery process, awarded to Kafayat Adeniyi, LPN, Judith Elondo, LPN, Josephine Kamara, LPN, Eunice Majula, LPN, and Beatrice Oforiwah, LPN.

Best Nursing Team - Also known as the Dynamic Duo, for the best team on a client case, awarded to Barbara Ekiko, LPN, and Felicia Davies, LPN by Quality Assurance Nurse, Francisca Akioyamen, RN.

Nurse of The Year - Best all around performance of a single nurse, the most sought after of all the prizes, awarded to Ann Azubuko, RN by Director of Nursing, Dawn Cole.

The clients got to have fun and enjoy being recognized as well. Awards were presented for Best Dressed Client (both young and old). Also, family friendly games were played, giving clients a chance to win prizes such as gift certificates to Ruth Chris Steak House, Costco Membership, and holiday gift baskets valued up to $100. Plans for next year's celebrations are already underway. Shirley Mobley, a longtime client, had this to say about her experience with Chesapeake, "I really love this company, my son has been getting services from them for almost 5 years—they are great!"

One staff member, who'd been with the company for nine years, had this to say about the party. "I had the time of my life. I don't live near my family, so I don't always get to see them during the holidays.
