Westerville, OH -- (SBWire) -- 01/06/2016 --The World Health Organization has recently expressed its great concern with regards to the increasing number of teens and young adults who are susceptible to develop hearing loss. It cannot be denied that the ears are an invaluable part of the body that if a person has an impaired hearing, it would greatly affect their work performance as well as their relationship with their family and friends.

The risk for the development of hearing loss on teens and young adults due to excessive noise has increased by 30% over the past years. For the NIDCD deputy director Melissa McGowan, parents can protect their children's hearing by ensuring that their children are listening to low volume sounds, and are wearing ear protectors like earplugs and earmuffs.
