The information gathered from the recent Harris poll that is conducted by Glassdoor.com shows that 45% of people are recently reported to be on the lookout for a new job in 2016. The information that is gathered online has identified the following trends among the job seekers of this year:

- Research – a whopping 77% of the adults looking for a job emphasizes the value of reviews and rating from of the company from its existing employees, this helps them to make better and informed decisions on whether to apply for the position or not. People are now expecting to have more information about a potential employer.

- Transparency – unlike the previous years, potential employers nowadays are more upfront and honest with the candidates. However, most people understand that not all company is perfect.

- Equal pay – wage disclosure has become less and less taboo as the years passed. Salary inequality has been brought to light thanks to few whistleblowers. 7 out of 10 people have agreed that salary and compensation are the main key factors that weight on the job acceptance.

- Perks – almost 57% of the respondents says that perks and benefits are the top considerations before a person takes on the job. Just as recent as last year, companies like Netflix have changed the entire game when it announced unlimited paternity and maternity leave. Perks are the holding factors for the employees to remain loyal to the company.

- Mobile – 54% of the respondents are more reliable on their mobile. Prospective employees of today want to have their search at their fingertips. Thanks to the evolution of technology, job seekers in 2016 are to use their mobile devices for their job searching.
