Ladue, MO -- (SBWire) -- 01/21/2016 --Sweetology is the first dedicated DIY retail cake, cookie and cupcake decorating experience in the United States. Think Build a BearTM meets Cake BossTM.  Now, the group has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to purchase  a 3D chocolate printer that will not only be the first 3D chocolate printer in the United States for retail use but will allow do-it-yourself decorators to let their inner decorators expand and provide the means for incredible cake decorating results.

According to the creators, "Sweetology began as a dream of two entrepreneur moms. We wanted to create a business that was new and novel and just plain fun! The inspiration for Sweetology began in 1979, when Kara's mom made her a cake for her birthday inspired by the cover of Seventeen Magazine. The cake wasn't professional but it was perfect because it was made with love. More than thirty years later, we have captured that magic in Sweetology, the place where you go with your kids, grandkids, friends, business companions to unleash your creative decorator. It's delicious fun!"

Now, the group is seeking funds to purchase a 3D chocolate printer including airbrush technology at $20,000; to take the cake "on the road" with a "Sweetmobile" at $45,000; to enhance e-commerce ability at $75,000; and to open a new location at $200,000.  All funds raised by the Kickstarter campaign will be used to expand Sweetology's sweet offerings and creative abilities for helping DIY-ers make fantastic edible "art" and to reach a wider audience.  Their dream is to be in every city one day.
