Waxhaw, NC -- (SBWire) -- 02/24/2016 --For the past eight years, the Isabella Santos Foundation, a non-profit in Charlotte, NC, has held its Annual 5K/10K for Kids Cancer in memory of Isabella Santos, a young girl who battled Neuroblastoma for most of her life. Each year, participation in the event has grown exponentially, raising more money and awareness in service of eliminating childhood cancer once and for all. The Isabella Santos Foundation has just announced the date of its 9th Annual 5K/10K for Kids Cancer, slated to be the biggest event yet.

The fundraiser, held at Ballantyne Corporate Park in Charlotte, NC, will take place on September 24, 2016 at 8:00 AM. Participants can register as either runners or non-runners. Runners will have the option of participating in either a 5K or 10K race, and will receive a t-shirt, racing bib and sponsor goodie bag. Non-runners will have plenty of fun on the sidelines with food, refreshments, a KidsZone and a raffle. All participants can raise donations for Neuroblastoma research through FirstGiving.

Organizations and individuals interested in becoming sponsors can take action now. Becoming a sponsor, whether at the Presenting tier, Bronze tier or anywhere in between, aligns the donor with other prominent community organizations that have decided to take a stand against childhood cancer.

Over the past eight years, this annual fundraiser and fun run in Charlotte, NC has raised over $1 million for Neuroblastoma research, bringing medical science even closer to a cure for the disease that can give children like Isabella a second chance at realizing their childhood dreams.
