Gilbert, AZ -- (SBWire) -- 03/30/2016 --Gilbert business owner Thomas Kissane attended the 2016 AGA stove repair training session hosted by AGA & Marvel at their North American headquarters in Greenville, Michigan from March 7-11, 2016.

The 2016 event drew 18 AGA repair specialists from across the United States, and included training courses on electrical and mechanical theory, radiant-heat and AGA stove repair techniques. Attendees also received special tours of the factory's manufacturing and test facilities.

"AGA cast iron ranges are unlike any other standard range out there, which is why we stay up-to-date with our AGA training. Our goal is to deliver the best service to our customers, and we do that by knowing their AGA product inside and out," said Tom Kissane, Founder and CEO of Tiger Mechanical.

The AGA range is unique from other standard ranges because of its high quality iron castings, which steadily transfer heat from the cast iron core to the other cooking surfaces. Unlike a typical range that uses a consistent flow of electricity or gas to maintain temperature, an AGA range heats to the desired temperature and then requires very little energy to maintain that heat. This makes the AGA range a desirable product for energy conscious homeowners who spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

During the event, attendees experienced firsthand how the AGA cast iron stove technology contributes to a better, more delicious cooking process. Throughout the event, each participant received gourmet lunches prepared by AGA chefs, offering the ultimate experience in AGA cuisine. The chefs prepared lunches that demonstrated the 10 different cooking methods available on the AGA Cast Iron Range including the ability to boil, simmer, fry, grill, stir fry, toast, roast, bake, steam and slow cook.

"I've been repairing AGA stoves for years, but I don't have one in my home—at least not yet. This training gave me the opportunity to see firsthand why my customers love their AGA so much," said Kissane. Attendees also received tours of the AGA factory to learn more about how the product is made and tested.
