"Molestice" Block Party + Music Festival Returns on June 25th to the Heart & Soul of Center City, Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWire) -- 06/22/2016 --On June 25th, 2016, the 100 block of N. Mole Street will come alive once again with the sweet sounds of Molestice—the annual block party + music festival to celebrate the summer solstice.

Mole Street Artists is busy preparing for the free event, creating a lineup of music that runs from 12 noon to 9 p.m. This year's guests can also keep their eyes peeled for a surprise performance or two.

The annual event—which is a 30+ year tradition on this particular block of Mole Street in Center City, Philadelphia—has become a passion project in recent years for the experiential marketing agency, Mole Street and its entertainment booking counterpart, Mole Street Artists. The afternoon also includes food trucks and libations. Last years trucks included Kami Korean BBQ and Poi Dog. This year's trucks include Cow and the Curd.

"Molestice is an event that's really near to our hearts. Having lived on the 100 block of N. Mole Street for the past 12 years, I know how important this annual block party and music festival is to the neighbors and the Philadelphia community. Last year this event drew an amazing mix of young families with their kids, Mole Street residents of over 25 years, Pennsylvania college students, working professionals, and tourists. You couldn't ask for a better turnout," says Brendan Walsh, Principal of Mole Street Artists.

Last year's Molestice event drew 1,500 guests. The Mole Street team expect a turnout of 3,000 or more in 2016.

"The vision for the future of Molestice is to activate every Mole Street in the city with a music festival and community arts and culture gathering. We envision Molestice becoming what Jazz Fest is to New Orleans, taking over the city with a celebration of the great music and arts scene this city has to offer and creating an international destination." says Brian LaPann, Principal of Mole Street
