Goody Tickets Supports American Cancer Society's Shave to Save Auction

The 2015 Shave to Save Auction event held to benefit the American Cancer Society received a ticket donation from Goody Tickets. Donations to the event directly benefit the Hope Lodge Kansas City Community.

Overland Park, KS -- (SBWire) -- 06/13/2016 --The annual 2015 Shave to Save Benefit and Auction fundraiser for the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge Kansas City Community was supported by a donation from Goody Tickets. The four Field Plaza tickets to a 2015 Royals game were donated to the 2015 Shave to Save auction by Goody Tickets to help raise funds for the event. Donations to the annual event directly benefit cancer patients and their families who stay at the Hope Lodge Kansas City Community.

The Hope Lodge Kansas City Community provides free overnight boarding for cancer patients and their caregivers. The lodging is provided at no cost for those patients and their support who are traveling to Kansas City to receive treatment. The Shave to Save event, with support from Goody Tickets and other sponsors, has been able to benefit more than 12,000 cancer patients and their caregivers through the Hope Lodge Kansas City Community.

The most recent 2016 Shave to Save Benefit and Auction event was held April 15th, 2016 and raised more than $150,000 for the Hope Lodge Kansas City Community. The 15th anniversary Shave to Save event featured 30 participants who volunteered to raise funds for the event and have their hair shaved. Tickets were sold for the benefit at $75 per person which included food, drinks, and entertainment in addition to the silent and live auction. The 30 Shave to Save participants had their heads shaved on stage as part of the annual event activities.
