Shenzhen, Guangdong -- (SBWire) -- 07/17/2016 --The Pokémon Go official Twitter account announced the release in Germany and the UK on Wednesday, which suggests that future launces in Europe, and in Japan as well as other countries in Asia are to come.

Pokémon Go game, developed as a joint effort by Niantic and Nintendo, was first launched on iPhone last week. Pokémon Go allows players to capture and train virtual Pokémon who appear throughout the real world. Following a successful capture, the user is rewarded with not only the virtual creature, but one of two types of in-game currency needed for progression, which are also available for purchasing in app store.

The releases confirms a report earlier this week that the hugely successful game would launch soon across Europe, and in Japan as well as other countries in Asia. And players of the Pokémon Go game have discovered that the game databases for most European countries have already been populated.

After rolling out in Germany and the UK, there are several ongoing server problems, though recent expansions from Niantic have somewhat mitigated the issues. One of issues Tuesday is to resolve over-reaching Google account permissions, which has had the unintended side effect of not allowing some users with Niantic-hosted Pokémon Trainer Club accounts to access to the game. Also, efforts by Niantic couldn't solve the initial demand in Germany, where outage tracking site Downdetector.com has tracked a large number of complaints about localized server connection issues.

Nintendo and Google spin-off Niantic are only two of the companies involved in bringing the immensely successful Pokémon Go to market, with The Pokémon Company largely responsible for intellectual property management, and Google itself handling the map data.

Wednesday's launch makes Germany and the U.K become the fourth and the fifth country where the game is available, joining its debut last week in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. While the launches in Japan and other countries in Asia are reported to be "within a few days," the Japanese website for Pokémon Go simply provides a vague 2016 window. And a Software company in China, one the developers and providers for multimedia software of iOS devices, provides a solution for iPhone users to download Pokémon Go without area limits and transfer Pokémon Go app from iPhone to iPhone/iPad.
