Elmwood Park Zoo Announces Wine Safari Event on August 5, 2016

Norristown, PA -- (SBWire) -- 07/21/2016 --Elmwood Park Zoo invites guests to journey with them on a Wine Safari on Friday, August 5 at 6 PM. This event, the first of its kind for Elmwood Park Zoo, features dozens of locally crafted fine wines and delicious food, accompanied by the lovely atmosphere of the zoo on a summer's evening. Those looking for things to do near Philadelphia should not look any further than this zoo.

Guests of Wine Safari will receive passports that direct them to different tasting stations throughout the zoo. Each station highlights local vineyards, various wines, and complimentary food pairings, along with the animals and their native regions from all over the globe.

Participating vineyards and wineries include Paradocx Vineyard, Penns Woods Winery, Chaddsford Winery, and Karamoor Estate. The list of wines available to sample can be viewed at epzevents.com.

Wine Safari will also feature a wine tasting demonstration and a mixology class hosted by the General Manager of Chaddsford Winery. Elmwood Park Zoo's Zoo Brew Bar will be open, serving select Prism Brewery beers.

The safari culminates in the zoo's Canopy Gardens Hall, where guests will have the ability to purchase additional food and the wines that they tasted throughout the evening.
