Watkins Architect Shares Design Plans for Berks County Services Center

Fleetwood, PA -- (SBWire) -- 08/17/2016 --Watkins Architect has released design plans for a renovation of the Berks County Services Center in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The local architecture and design firm announced that the renovations will focus on the entrance of the government facility. In addition to the entrance of the facility, the design plans also depict renovations that will be made in the metal detection/security office as well as other renovations that will take place throughout the building.

The primary goal of the design, according to Watkins, is to increase the ability of citizens to move freely throughout the busy facility. The changes will seek to increase the convenience for and enhance the experience of people seeking to utilize the various government services available at the facility.

Photos of the design plans shared by Watkins Architect depict a spacious entrance area in which citizens will wait in lines before passing through the metal detection equipment and security officers that guard the entrance to the building.

The Berks County Services Center houses many government employees and government services. The center is home to the Election Services Department, Purchasing Department, Treasury and Budget Departments, Mapping Department, Register of Wills, Recorder of Deeds as well as other offices and departments. Among the government services provided by these and other departments include absentee ballots, marriage licenses, bids and proposals, adoptions and property ownership documentation.
