Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWire) -- 10/19/2016 --Each year, Philadelphia's Italian community leaders organize The City of Brotherly Love's annual Columbus Day parade -- and Pete Ciarrocchi, the man behind Chickie's & Pete's world-famous Crabfries®, is pleased to have participated in this year's festivities.

"This year's parade was great!" Pete Ciarrocchi said. "It started out a little slow because of the weather -- but that didn't stop the participants from putting on a heck of a show for everyone who came out," he added.

Pete Ciarrocchi is a prominent figure across many of Philadelphia's social circles; however, he is even more so in the Italian community because of the work he does to advance the prevalence of Italian culture in his city.

This year's Columbus Day parade in Philadelphia was led by Grand Marshall Danny Aiello; and, Pete Ciarrocchi co-hosted the event alongside Action News' Alicia Vitarelli and the Italian historian, Michael DiPilla.

As the founder and Chairman Emeritus of the 1492 Society, Pete Ciarrocchi and those with whom he works in that organization, regularly host events and other gatherings to not only promote Italian culture in Philadelphia, but to celebrate it as well.
