Great Falls, MT -- (SBWire) -- 10/25/2016 --Apollos University is pleased to announce its move this month to Great Falls, MT. Formerly located in Huntington Beach, CA, the strategic move will see benefits for students and faculty alike and – in some senses – marks a new beginning for Apollos and – in other ways – merely a continuation of building its legacy.

As students are already of course aware, Apollos University is a 100% online distance education university. As such, it must maintain approval to operate in each US state or territory where it has an active student. In order to adhere to such a stringent policy, many online universities join the State Authorization Reciprocal Agreement (SARA) association. Unfortunately, the state of California is not a state member of SARA and, therefore, Apollos University cannot join SARA while in California. With this in mind, the Board of Directors came to the decision to move Apollos to Montana which is a member state of SARA.

"Once we are able to join SARA, our students will have the opportunity to move to many different states and still be able to attend an Apollos University," shared Apollos President, Dr. Scott Eidson. "In addition to this, the future offers the chance for students to receive higher accreditations and this is an incredibly important opportunity to continue passing on our savings to students since Montana will allow us to reduce our overhead drastically."

The Montana Board of Regents approved Apollos University to operate as a Montana university in the exact same way Apollos had formerly operated in California. Additionally, their accreditor, the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) approved Apollo's request and therefore, there is no issue with their accreditation.

During the move, students' ATLAS profiles, transcripts, etc. and Moodle classes did not change and students did not encounter any interruptions with their studies. The move was accomplished as planned and info@apollos.edu was available 24/7 if anyone had questions or needed assistance.

"At Apollos, we are constantly working diligently to improve the experience of our students and are fully confident that this move to Montana will provide new opportunities for them," added Dr. Eidson. "We look forward with great anticipation to what the future holds."
