Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWire) -- 11/03/2016 --Metrospect Events, the leading event production company in Philly, and the creator of, and organizer behind, the popular annual Hair O' the Dog affair, is pleased to announce that a portion of this year's Hair O' The Dog proceeds will go to Bianca's Kids. Bianca's Kids is a nonprofit charitable organization that was founded in 2010 to help underprivileged and sick children fulfill their wishes. Hair O' the Dog has been voted the "Best Event in Philly" by Philadelphia Nightlife Awards for the last two years.

Since its inception in 1995, portions of the profits from every Hair O' the Dog have gone to local and national charities. This year's event will take place at the Fillmore concert hall in historic Fishtown, Philadelphia.

"Through all the fun and excitement, it's important not to forget that Hair O' the Dog has always been first and foremost about celebrating, and raising funds and awareness for, the fine charities that our great region supports," said Buffy Harakidas, Metrospect Events' Marketing Director. "With that said, it's an absolute honor to be able to work with, support and rally around Bianca's Kids for the 23rd annual Hair O' The Dog 2017 event."

Cousins Debbie Savigliano and Vanessa Andricola started Bianca's Kids in 2010 after their mutual family member, Bianca Yodice, was struck by a vehicle while she was on her way to work at a daycare center. Rather than continue to mourn her death, the cousins, led by foundation President Debbie Savigliano, set out to celebrate Bianca's life by fulfilling what she had always intended: to help kids in need. Today, they work tirelessly to grant wishes to children who are less fortunate than others, whether they are suffering from chronic diseases, in foster care, living in financial instability or a dealing with a variety of other stressful situations.
