London, England -- (SBWire) -- 11/25/2016 --London Stone, dominating supplier of natural stone paving and a range of other natural stone products are currently assisting in raising money for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, with their most recent fund-raising efforts seeing their team taking on the entire length of Hadrian's Wall.

London Stone are currently trying to raise as much money as possible for Duchene UK in memory of their late friend, whose son unfortunately has the genetic disorder. Over four days, the ten man team walked eighty-four miles over four days and in turn raised a great £7000+ for the charity. The walk was quite a battle for the team, with only two members being experienced walkers however the knowledge that they were doing it to raise money for people who aren't able was enough to get the through. The odd cheeky pint along the way probably boosted the team a bit too.

In addition to this money raised, London Stone's #ShowYourStrength social media challenge which ran alongside the walk raised a further £2,000 – with users tweeting photos showing their strength combined with the hashtag, and London donating £5 for each photo posted.

A spokesperson from London Stone was keen to comment saying, "We are incredibly delighted that so many wonderful people have got involved and enabled us to raise this money - money which will be used to fund clinical trials in hope to find a cure/slow down the progression of the disorder. We are going to try and raise £30,000 in total and there's still time for you all to donate too – for further information and to access the Just Giving page our website can be visited."
