Prague, Czech Republic -- (SBWire) -- 01/23/2017 --The metro in Prague is currently considered as the city's backbone when it comes to transport. Every year, it is lauded for transporting nearly 600 million passengers in and out of the city. Based on this, experts have calculated that all lines of the metro serves an average of more than 1.6 million on a daily basis.

Currently, statistics show that the busiest lines of the metro are the Prague Uprising and the Vysehrad – IP Paviova. Today, the subway system of the city consists of only three lines. Such tickets last from 30 minutes to 3 days. The long term tickets are made available to adults up to 19 years of age and it lasts from a month to an entire 12 months. Students can avail to student concession by producing an accreditation from the city's ministry of education. Working on the frame work of an integrated transport system, the metro is undertaking measures to make sure that all departments are well organized. On a general basis, the entire metro system of the city is divided into two zones. The first zone is the inner city while the second zone is the outer suburban.
