He has grown up with a dream of opening his bike shop someday, while working at different bike shops in Rotterdam. Ivars has just started an Indiegogo campaign to meet all expenses to make his dream come true.

In his proposed bike shop, Ivars plans to use recycled materials to keep costs low and to avoid contributing to the land fill. His initial focus will be on tune ups and small repairs. However, in the future, he wants to expand into bike sales. A hard worker by nature, Ivars will be doing the repairs all by himself. With years of experience, he looks forward to delivering the highest quality repairs and customer service.

Ivars mentions that his bike shop will be much more than just a workplace for him. Before he started working at a bike shop, Ivars was overweight and unhealthy. "With some encouragement from my co-workers, I started riding my bike more and adopted a healthier lifestyle. I have never looked back, and now I am even a personal trainer helping others do the same," he says.

Ivars has set a funding goal of 7,500 for his just launched Indiegogo campaign. His primary objective is to cover the first few months of rent as well as licenses, insurance, and supplies. If he manages to reach this goal, Ivars will provide free bike safety and repair classes to the community. With adequate funding, he will be able to build the shop as soon as possible.
