Magline Celebrates 70 Years of Innovation Includes Valuing Employees

Standish, MI -- (SBWire) -- 03/20/2017 --Magline's VP Andrea Horner recently explained how employee engagement requires manufacturers have a systematic and tested method of reaching employees with important messages. These approaches engage and influence attitudes and behaviors.

Horner noted, "We are celebrating 70 years of innovation and have witnessed that providing ergonomically designed products, keeps an aging workforce on the job and engaged. It requires communication. Good intention of employers to keep workers safe isn't enough. A simple text to delivery drivers, shop floor workers, reminding them of best-practice safety and the tools provided creates a culture of appreciation, value, safety, and loyalty."

When ergonomic tools and solutions are introduced and implemented, employee behaviors need to be reinforced. New solutions like CooLift, LiftPlus, or the Self-Stabilizing hand truck, may first be met with employee resistance; anything new may trigger resistance.

Horner insisted that distribution, manufacturing, and last-mile delivery operations must include strategy-specific messages to help employees connect their day-to-day efforts with the aspirations of the company. Due to time constraints and production deadlines, employee communication messages must be kept simple and concise for maximum impact.

Magline, the leader in material handling delivery equipment, has submitted a one-minute video for ProMat 2017 for the contest. The video welcomes the viewer to watch a movie trailer about the new LiftPlus as a coming attraction.
