New York City, NY -- (SBWire) -- 04/20/2017 --Automated cell counter is equipment that automatically counts number of dead and/or live cells in a culture. Certain automated cell counters used for urinalysis and several for blood analysis. The blood or urine sample is filled into an automated cell counter, it is passed through a small tube whereas the automated cell counter uses electrical or optical impedance sensors to count number of cells going through the tube. Several researcher working in a cell culture hood requires some type of cell counting solution, either to analyse cell concentration before cell passage, or to measure cell viability following drug treatment. Used in research and medical labs, automated cell counters can be used on urine or blood samples to analysis the types and to observe the viability of a cultured cell or number of cells present for research purposes. Features differ between the various automated cell counters, including quantity and cell types it can analyse, sample size required, data management, and whether or not it can distinguish between live and dead cells. The utmost significant feature considered to select a cell counting solution is the capability to assess cell viability. Electrical impedance mostly cannot differentiate between live and dead cells (except by size); however imaging-based methods can differentiate between live and dead cells, by using trypan blue for staining dead (but not live) cells, same as classic hemacytometry. Automatic cell counters are based on several principle, the coulter principle which is further based on electrical conductivity or radiofrequency, optical scatter, light absorption, fluorescence. VCS Technology (volume, conductivity, and scatter) and hydrodynamic focusing: Both optical and impedance methods of cell counting employ hydrodynamic focusing (focused flow)

Automated Cell Counters Market: Drivers and Restraints

Government & corporate sponsorship and investments for cell-based research are primary factors contributing to the growth of automated cell counters market. Moreover, high prevalence of aids and rising incidence of cancer increase of enhanced image analysis instruments and improved informatics solutions are also driving the growth of automated cell counters market. While, lack of proper healthcare and research infrastructure and scarcity of trained professionals in clinical laboratories in emerging markets are some of the market challenges in growth of automated cell counters market. Also high price of advance automated cell counting systems and hesitancy among researchers to adapt to advance cell counting techniques hinder the growth of automated cell counters market high prices of automated cell counting systems

Automated Cell Counters Market: Overview

Globally the growing demand for the automated cell counters and high cost of diagnostics tests, some companies are trying to develop operational automated and self-contained, small sized cell counters at low cost. Also key players in automated cell counters market are trying to develop efficient and user friendly for automated cell counters for ease usage. Globally, the automated cell counters market is realizing a surprising growth due to increasing tendency of general public towards spending for in-vitro diagnosis. Consequently, increasing awareness about wellness, hygiene and health among the general public. Besides, the increasing interest of key players in the automated cell counters market will make the existing automated cell counters market more standardized and competitive in terms of quality assurance.

Automated Cell Counters Market: Region-wise Outlook

Depending on geographic region automated cell counters market is segmented into seven key regions: North America, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Asia Pacific excluding Japan, Japan, and Middle East & Africa. North America is anticipated to hold the prominent market share in the automated cell counters market. This is due to the presence of a refined reimbursement policies and supportive healthcare framework facilities in the region. The Asia Pacific region is projected to grow at a healthy rate over the forecast period owing to the growth of testing and clinical laboratory services in the region. There is a severe gap present in supply and demand for automated cell counting services in the low and middle income economies has promoted a change in concentration of the key market players from the North American region to the developing markets of Asia Pacific.
