The philatelic auctioneers have scheduled the live public auction for the Wednesday and Thursday of September 13-14 and have announced that the auction's theme will be worldwide stamps and postal history.

Though the public auction at Cherrystone's physical location in New York City will take place over the course of two days, pre-auction bidding is currently open for the current auction. Additionally, those who are unable to attend the auction in person are able to participate in the auction via the auction house's CherrystoneLIVE interactive bidding system, accessible through Cherrystone's website. The online bidding system is designed to sync with the live auction floor and allow parties to bid remotely in real time.

The upcoming two-day auction will be divided into four distinct sessions that will each feature stamps from certain countries. The first session, slated to begin on the morning of Wednesday, September 13th, will feature stamps from the United States & US possessions, Afghanistan, China and Columbia. Following the first session, the second session will take place on Wednesday afternoon and will consist of stamps from France, Germany and will begin working through British Commonwealth alphabetically from Aden to Cyprus.

Alphabetic procession through stamps from the British Commonwealth will continue in the auction's third session on Thursday morning, as that session will include British Commonwealth stamps from the Falkland Islands through Zanzibar as well as stamps from Greece, Italy and Poland. The fourth and final session on the afternoon of Thursday, September 14 will afford attendees the opportunity to bid on stamps from Russia, Switzerland and Yugoslavia. The fourth and final session will also include bidding on lots from the category of "Large Lots and Collection" that includes stamps and material from around the world.
