The Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey Set to Host 35th Annual Statewide Conference Next Week

Hamilton, NJ -- (SBWire) -- 09/12/2017 --The 35th Annual State Conference on Disordered Gambling is just a week away. The Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey (CCGNJ) invites any professionals working in a field related to gambling to the event (as well as all other interested parties), which takes place on September 15th at the East Windsor Holiday Inn. The mission of both CCGNJ and the conference is to promote education about gambling addiction and to connect problem gamblers and their loved ones to resources for treatment and support.

The conference will consist of a full day of public workshops and presentations all centered on a central theme: "The New Frontier in Gambling Treatment." The theme is inspired by the work of Plenary Session leader Dr. Alyssa N. Wilson and Keynote Speaker Dr. Marc Potenza. Both doctors will be presenting their research at the event. A full line-up of guest speakers in the field will also be speaking and leading workshops throughout the day. Guests include Tony DeMarco, LL.B., J.D., Ph.D., DNGH, Jeffrey M. Beck, ICGC-II, BACC, J.D., ABD, Jessica Alomar, LPC and Sachin Karnik, Ph.D., LCSW, LCDP, CAADC, ICGC-II.
