Study Finds That Breastfeeding Makes Children More Likely to Eat Vegetables: Green Spirit Hydroponics Comments

Sheffield, England -- (SBWire) -- 09/21/2017 --The Independent online has recently revealed that breastfeeding holds the ability to make children more likely to eat vegetables – backing their thoughts up with a study that has just taken place!

Researchers from the Monell Chemical Senses Centre in Philadelphia have concluded that breastfeeding babies exposes them to the flavour of vegetables through the milk – making the strong flavours of vegetables less shocking when the time to eat them comes around, allowing their taste buds to enjoy the flavours instead of being scared.

The research required 97 pregnant women to drink beetroot, celery or carrot juice during pregnancy and then these to track the eating habits of their children as they grew. More information regarding this study can be seen here:

A spokesperson from hydroponic suppliers Green Spirit Hydroponics was incredibly keen to comment, "This new research is really cool, especially in today's day and age where children no longer seem to enjoy vegetables and with the increase in childhood obesity being so drastic. Here at Green Spirit Hydroponics we offer a range of equipment which allows people to grow the freshest and most tasty vegetables in their own homes, something else which can also encourage youngsters to eat veggies."
