William Jones, Founder of Afrofuturism Network to Appear at Several Events in October

Washington, DC -- (SBWire) -- 10/06/2017 --William Jones, the founder of Afrofuturism Network, will be appearing at several events throughout the month of October.

The first event is Capclave where a collection of authors, editors, artists, and fans of fiction will gather on Saturday, October 7th at the Hilton Washington DC/North Gaithersburg located at 620 Perry Parkway in Gaithersburg, MD, 20877. William will be a panelist at their literary convention. The name of the panel is "What's the Future of Afrofuturism" and features a discussion around the meaning of Afrofuturism, its purpose, and its future.

The second event, held on Saturday, October 21st, is Afro Comic-Con. Afro Comic-Con is a comic book convention in Oakland that focuses on increasing diversity and awareness in the comic book industry. William will be speaking will also on the topic of Afrofuturism and will also sign copies of his book, The Ex-Con, Voodoo Priest, Goddess, and the African King. Afro Comic Con will be held at SAE Expression College located at 6601 Shellmound St. in Emeryville, CA 94608.

The third and final event is a book signing at Columbia University Bookstore located at 2922 Broadway in New York, NY 10027 on Saturday, October 28th. Here, William will be discussing his book and signing copies.
