About Robert Glaser
Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Robert V. Glaser has had a 40+ year career in banking and private equity. His experience includes commercial banking, foreign direct investment in the United States, corporate acquisitions and divestments, the arrangement of bank and subordinated debt financing, and overseeing management teams of operating companies through the board of directors. He has also worked abroad extensively, especially in Europe and the Middle East. His work and personal experiences have allowed him to visit more than thirty different countries around the world.

Mr. Glaser spent a decade working at The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. where he worked in Chase's domestic corporate lending group. His clients included oriental carpet importers, other importers, distributors, art galleries and restaurants, including Maxwell's Plum, Tavern on the Green, the Russian Tea Room, Benihana of Tokyo, and more. Glaser would eventually transfer to Chase's international department where he worked with several governments in the Middle East and marketed units of the governments to win lending and investment opportunities. His duties also included political and economic risk analysis.

Robert Glaser also dedicates a large portion of his time to various charitable causes including Chapman Partnership which aims to assist Miami's homeless residents, the nonprofit St. Thomas University, and the National YoungArts Foundation. In 2001 he launched the Mary Louise Bates Scholarship Program named after his mother. The scholarship provides financial assistance to children who would like to attend the Maplewood Family YMCA located in Rochester, New York.
