Country Music Star Jimmy Wayne to Share His Story at Passage Home Benefit June 2

Country Singer Shows Support For Wake County Group Fighting Homelessness And Poverty

Raleigh, NC -- (SBWire) --05/13/2011 --Passage Home, a nonprofit agency fighting poverty and homelessness in Wake County, will host “My Story, My Song,” an evening with country music star Jimmy Wayne, on Thursday, June 2, from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Marriott Downtown Raleigh – State Ballroom, located at 500 Fayetteville St. The benefit will include heavy hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction in addition to hearing Wayne’s story. Wayne, a North Carolina native, personally experienced life as a poor, homeless youth before finding success as an adult with several country hits, including the three-week number one, “Do You Believe Me Now.” Wayne will soon be a first time published author when his novella, "Paper Angels," is released later this year. Costs to attend the event, all of which will benefit Passage Home, are $60 per person and $100 per couple. Sponsorships are available from $1,000 to $10,000.
