Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWire) -- 03/13/2018 --Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion (IBP) is allowing guests to get up close and personal with all types of butterflies in their year-round pavilion. The museum is home to 2,000 native and tropical butterflies, which are free to roam about as they please in the 7,000 square foot pavilion.

Men, women, and children can walk through the immersive tropical ecosphere to see the beautiful insects. The butterflies may even land on those who are wearing bright clothing. For those interested in having the pavilion to themselves and their loved ones, private bookings are available upon request.

Philadelphia's newest science museum showcases one of the most diverse collections of butterflies and arthropods in the United States. The staff members at Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion (IBP) are fully committed to educating the public about the environmental importance of these insects through various classes, community events, and free programs.

The museum offers two floors of fun and educational exhibits that are filled with an assortment of arthropods including scorpions, tarantulas, praying mantises, and more.

Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion (IBP) is open all seven days of the week, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Tickets for general admission are available online.
