Laser Spine Institute Promotes from Within to Fill Seven Open Positions

Leader In Endoscopic Surgery Promotes Seven Employees

 

Tampa, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/28/2011 -- Bill Horne, CEO of Laser Spine Institute (http://www.laserspineinstitute.com), the leader in endoscopic spine surgery, has announced that the company has promoted from within to fill seven positions.

Mark Andrzejewski joined Laser Spine Institute in August 2008 as controller, was promoted to vice president of Finance in March 2010, and is now being promoted to senior vice president of financial services. In this role, he will oversee all of the financial services for the company, including accounting, payroll, patient financial service and information technology. Andrzejewski earned his accounting degree from Notre Dame.

Don Rath joined Laser Spine Institute in June 2010 as its vice president of human resources and corporate services and is being promoted to senior vice president of operations. In this role, he will oversee Laser Spine Institute’s medical operations. Rath will work directly with the facility executive directors, ASC administrator, vice president of ASC services and quality, and vice president of clinic and diagnostic services. With an accounting degree from Kettering University and a law degree from DePaul University, he has nearly 10 years of executive level leadership, serving as chief administrative officer for Good Neighbor Care and senior vice president of human resources for Horizon Bay Senior Communities, both national senior housing providers.

Chris Yinger joined Laser Spine Institute in August 2008 as a systems engineer, was promoted in the fall of 2010 to IT manager and is now being promoted to director of IT services. He brings to Laser Spine Institute more than 10 years of IT experience and has been instrumental in building its current IT platform, developing key relationships with vendors, and implementing new programs, offerings and improvements in its phone and IT systems. Yinger is a Cisco expert and has an IT degree from University of South Florida.

Mary Mayer joined Laser Spine Institute for the second time in September 2009 as manager of Health Information Management and is being promoted to director of HIM. Mayer brings to Laser Spine Institute more than 30 years of coding and billing experience, and she has excelled in the area of coding compliance, both with Laser Spine Institute and with our armed forces, serving as a coding compliance government auditor for the U.S. Air Force. Mayer has been instrumental in building the HIM department for Laser Spine Institute, merging medical records, coding and transcription into one HIM department focused on customer service excellence. She earned the promotion by exceeding as a subject matter expert and leading her team effectively through numerous regulatory and process changes. Mayer was recently appointed chair of the advisory board for the medical coding program at Erwin Technical Center. She holds several coding and billing certifications and has a business degree from Mount Aloysius College.

Justin Horne joined Laser Spine Institute in March 2006 and has held a variety of positions. His responsibilities will expand to include oversight of human resources. Horne is currently senior director of education advancement and his new expanded role will be titled senior director of employee services and education. Horne will continue to oversee Laser Spine Institute University offerings, intern process and other employee programs. He holds a dual major degree in marketing and multinational business from Florida State University and is currently studying in preparation for a PHR certification in the first quarter of 2012.

Julie Wlodychak joined Laser Spine Institute in September 2010 as marketing coordinator and has been promoted to marketing manager. Wlodychak came to Laser Spine Institute with more than three years of healthcare marketing experience and has been an integral part of large marketing initiatives, including Laser Spine Institute’s revised Intranet project, its first social media sweepstakes and its transition of the marketing workflow to be a completely online process. Within her new management role, Wlodychak will continue to improve workflow processes and create efficiencies, but also will lead key projects, which include social media and other new automated programs for Laser Spine Institute.

Stephanie Schnitker joined Laser Spine Institute in 2007 and has served in multiple administrative assistant roles, most recently as marketing executive assistant, and she is being promoted to marketing production specialist. Schnitker has taken on additional marketing responsibilities over the past year and has proven to be an integral part of the marketing team. In her new position, she will be the main point person for marketing and project requests. Schnitker will meet with internal key stakeholders to ensure that marketing projects are helping to meet business needs and department goals, and will also oversee project management software.
