This has been a platform to provide me with opportunities to outshine myself with the courses tailored according to the demand of the professionalism in the world today. I chose to pursue the Electronic and Computer Engineering. The course offered me to learn the concepts of the Electronics exploring the advancement in the field while running parallel to the Computer technology we are dealing today.
All though the University of Bolton is a sister campus here in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, but still I won't hesitate to say that the studies over here have been synchronized in such a pattern that one won't feel to be an outcast of what is going on back in UK. The presence of the University in UAE has been well planned and optimised seeing the inputs the Governments of UAE has been putting to make the country an educational hub of the world.
The University has been gradually extending its strong hold in the region. Starting from a one floor campus, it has got a fully functional campus in conjunction with the American University of Ras Al Khaimah; and I hope to see the University of Bolton's own campus which is also under its way in the city of Al Jazeerah Al Hamra.
Running with a cohort of around 20 lecturers, the university provides the student with a feeling of being specially overlooked with small class sizes ranging from 10 to 15 students at the most. Studies may not have been so much of fun without the state of the art Technological labs at the campus. While the studies surround the students with curricular work, the student union present at the campus, works for providing the leisure and extra-curricular activities.
The support and care offered by the industrially trained and professionalized lecturers at the University is extraordinary. Throughout my studies, the help that has been inclined towards me by my lecturers have been more of making the most out of me rather than just feeding me with the information that I need to know for task completion. They have been highly pursuable in getting me known to myself that I can overcome any hurdle in studies and my life.
My course lasted for 3 years, in which I leapt forward to learn the theoretical as well as the practical aspects of engineering. At the end of my course, the University has been truly helping in looking out for placements and tying knots with the companies so as to provide me an exposure to the professional world and to help me get to know the job prospects in the market.
