The River’s Edge Motel Lodge & Resort is proud to announce its selection as a host hotel for the Ride the Rockies event taking place from June 10th through the 17th.
Ouray, CO -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/31/2017 -- Ride the Rockies is a bicycle tour event held every year bringing together over 2,000 cyclists from all parts of the world and more than ninety volunteers. Participants explore Colorado's Rocky Mountains for six to seven days and each year the event remains unique. Riders can bike for short 45 mile trips or they can choose one of the more challenging 100 mile trips. The majority of participants average between 65 to 75 miles. Proceeds from Ride the Rockies benefit The Denver Post Community Foundation.
Those planning to participate in the 2017 Ride the Rockies will be cycling through several Colorado communities including Pagosa Springs, Ridgway (supported by Ouray), and several more. Riders will come across a number of historic Colorado sights such as the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad.
