Writing for Children Is Already Getting Festive - the Writers Bureau Comments

Manchester, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/21/2015 -- Writing for children is already getting festive, with the announcement that 'Aliens Crazy Christmas', a picture book published by Scholastic and written by Amy Sparkes, is due this October. Sparkes' book follows on the back of her recent success with 'The Mouse who Sailed the Seas' published in May of this year, with the second in the series due in June 2016. With bold imagery and thrilling narratives these books will have enduring appeal for young audiences.

Amy Sparkes is a clear example that publishers of writing for children are open to original and engaging talent. Brimming with ideas, she has a list of 5 junior fiction books, 3 novels and 10 new picture books all in the pipeline.

Raised in Eastbourne, Sparkes always held a passion for exploring the power of storytelling. But, it was the support of a creative writing course which allowed her childhood dreams to become a reality. Armed with inspiration and the support of The Writers Bureau, Sparkes went from strength to strength – first publishing articles before progressing to specialise in children's fiction.
