The goal of the competition is to help prevent summer learning loss and boost student preparedness for the coming school year in mathematics among Tampa area students!

The competition consists of four separate week-long competitions starting June 27th. Each week, DimensionU will announce a new winner and award a Kindle Fire Tablet to the student who won! Here is the complete schedule:

Week 1: June 27 – July 1, Highest Cumulative Total Points playing DimensionU's TowerStorm
Week 2: July 4 – 8, Most correctly answered questions across all DimensionU game(s)
Week 3: July 11 – 15, Highest Cumulative Total Points playing DimensionU's Meltdown
Week 4: July 18 – 22, Most Minutes Played across any DimensionU game(s)

DimensionU Games was first introduced to the Hillsborough County School District, (SDHC), during a Summer Math Enrichment Camp sponsored by Hillsborough Out-of-School-Time, (H.O.S.T), and the SDHC Middle School Math Department. Positive academic outcomes and increased student motivation led to the educational gaming program being provided to all elementary and middle school classrooms (grades 3-8) and after school programs through the H.O.S.T. program. DimensionU is also accessible to students at home and on mobile devices (phone and tablets), at no cost to parents all year long.
