Longwood, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/07/2015 -- Mr. Wan Tam, an electronics pioneer, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to finance the production and distribution of the BRiK DIY Wireless Speaker System. He is a veteran from the days of vacuum tube stereos, and is now using his knowledge and expertise to introduce electronics to the digital generation. His speaker systems can be easily customized and are designed to be affordable, easy to build and fun for the novice electronics enthusiast.
Users can quickly customize their BRiK DIY systems using plug-in modules rather than soldering components. This updated version of DIY vacuum tube stereos makes it easy for users to make quick changes to stereo components or configurations. Users can also change the color or texture of the stereo cabinet in seconds with stick-on vinyl, wood, metal, plastic plates or even Lego blocks.
Before emigrating to the United States, Wan Tam started one of the earliest electronics schools in Hong Kong. Now, the same hands on learning spirit that inspired his early students can be found in the BRiK DIY system. This stereo system combines the latest technology and professional quality components for easy plug-in assembly by people of any skill level.
Each system includes either 3 or 20 Watt amplifier and speakers, and optional solid compressed wood cabinet. These components are designed to offer clear, powerful output comparable to systems that cost much more than these easy-to-assemble kits. Furthermore, they allow the user to customize the kit to his or her preferences.
As seen at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brik/brik-diy-wireless-speaker-system-customize-it-your the Kickstarter campaign offers pledge levels from $18 to $48, with rewards ranging from basic board and modules, to complete kits with cabinets. There is also a special six-pack for fundraiser or schools.
For more information on each pledge level and associated rewards, see the Kickstarter page.
